Culture and History

Numerous crosses marking the locations of former village gates stand in the centre of Aufferville and in the hamlets of Maison Rouge and Morville. The Croix Saint-Pierre on the church square is 3.5 metres high and dates from the 12th century.

The Église Saint-Martin has been listed as a historic monument since 1926. It was built in the 12th century in an architectural style typical of the Gâtinais; its apse contains an 18th-century altarpiece.

The Rocher de Dame Jouanne hill is located near Aufferville. The Château de Beaumont-du-Gâtinais and the historic site of Abbaye de Cercanceaux are also nearby.
