Culture

The Maison des arts is a municipal contemporary art centre. It is housed in a neoclassical building thought to have been constructed between around 1830 and 1840, and presents four solo or group exhibitions each year.

The Théâtre 71 is one of the 70 theatres classified by the French Ministry of Culture as a “scène nationale”. The Cinéma Marcel-Pagnol is classified as an arthouse cinema and is a three-minute walk from Exit 2 of the Malakoff-Plateau de Vanves metro station on Metro Line 13.

History

The original chapel of the Church of Notre-Dame was built in the 1860s. The Notre-Dame Chapel was consecrated as a parish church in 1873.

Nature

The Ferme urbaine is a public green space in Malakoff. It has an educational garden that introduces children to nature. The Ferme urbaine regularly offers public events and training sessions on urban nature.

Parc Léon-Salagnac was created in 1951.
