Morsang-Sur-Orge: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Today’s Château de Morsang was built by Pierre Durey d’Harnoncourt from 1740 onwards. The Parc du Château covers 17 hectares.

Culture

The partially preserved Pilier Saint-Magloire is part of a structure dating from the 13th and 14th centuries. The Lavoir is the only surviving washhouse among those that once existed in Morsang.

The Château de Morsang is partially listed as a historic monument; the corresponding protection status dates from 1 April 2025. The Église Saint-Jean-Baptiste was already classified as a historic monument in 1926. The Pilier Saint-Magloire has been classified as a historic monument since 1920.

Nature

The Parc du Château has been protected by decree and placed under protection since 18 June 1980. It is freely accessible every day and is used by walkers and joggers.

The Parc du Château is home to diverse plant life and distinctive wildlife; dragonflies, amphibians, and butterflies reproduce there freely and without human intervention.

Morsang-sur-Orge is served by tram line T12 and several bus lines.
