Giromagny lies at the foot of the Ballon d’Alsace. The D465 runs through the town and connects Belfort with the Vosges. Those who choose Giromagny as their destination may be planning to rent a holiday apartment.

Paths and Nature

The Voie Verte is reserved for pedestrians and cyclists. It connects the cycle path from Belfort with Giromagny town centre. In Giromagny, fishing is possible in the river and the pond.

Culture and Sightseeing

Fort Dorsner was built from June 1875 to 1880 and protected the north–south route between the Ballon d’Alsace and Belfort. The Fort Dorsner association offers public tours on Wednesdays and Sundays in July, August and September, up to the Journées du Patrimoine. From July to September, night-time tours by petroleum lamp are also held; guided tours are available for groups.

The Fontaine Louis XV was built in 1758 and classified as a historic monument (Monument historique) in 1916. The Maison Mazarin still has vaulted cellars; tours of the Maison Mazarin and its park are organised.

The former drainage gallery of the Saint-Pierre Mine can be seen in Giromagny, in the garden of the house at the end of the footbridge.
