Culture and History
From the former castle in Villeneuve-sous-Pymont, a section of a tower, the foundations of the keep walls, traces of the paths, and heaps of ruins remain.
The keep of Pymont was built between 1237 and 1253. The fortress of Pymont was destroyed by the troops of Louis XI between 1477 and 1479.
The Le Meix Quartier residence is a 17th-century building. In the early 19th century, it was extended with a northwestern residential wing, and in the early 20th century with a western tower.
