The La Croix des Couloirs hiking route is moderately difficult, 7.9 km long, follows a circular route, and takes approximately 3 hours. It starts and ends near the bar-grocery store in Les Bouchoux.
The La Croix des Couloirs viewpoint offers views of the Monts Jura to the east and the village of Les Bouchoux to the west. The Belvédère de la Madone offers a remarkable view of the village of Les Bouchoux and the Tacon Valley, through which the river of the same name flows.

Culture and History
The Prieuré de Cuttura was founded in 1190 by the lords of Chatillon-en-Michaille. In 1231, it was transferred into the possession of the Abbey of Saint-Claude.
Today, the Prieuré de Cuttura consists of a tower converted into an oratory in 1942, as well as the remains of the former priory house. The site of the Moulin d’Aval waterfall, also known as Moulin Dalloz, has been listed in the landscape inventory since 1961.
The present-day church of Les Bouchoux was built in 1718. Its entrance portal dates back to the 16th or 17th century; there are inscriptions above the entrance. The village square of Les Bouchoux can host cultural events that require only minimal amplification.
