The Caborne de Menouille can be reached from Cernon via the old road to Menouille and then along a dirt track. An underground river runs through the Caborne de Menouille and leads to a 10-metre-high waterfall. During high water, some passages may be partially or completely flooded. The small hiking trails in Cernon are marked with yellow signs throughout.

Several mountains are located in the wider region surrounding Cernon: Mont Chavet, Mont Charvet, Mont Bayard and Mont Nivigne are each mountains in this wider regional area.

Water

The Lac de Vouglans reservoir stretches for 35 km. The Barrage de Vouglans dam in Cernon is 130 m high and 400 m wide, but it can no longer be visited.
