Culture

The Lutheran temple in Clairegoutte was listed as a Monument historique by decree of 11 March 1991. Its architecture reflects the influence of the Temple Saint-Martin de Montbéliard.

The temple houses a pewter communion jug, or pewter pitcher, bearing the inscription “POUR CLAIREGOUTTE ET F FONTAINE”. The object was classified as a protected object on 28 July 1966.

The Ancienne ferme-clouterie comprises a farm and a nail-making workshop that were already recorded on the 1833 cadastral map. It preserves one of its two water wheels, as well as several parts of the power transmission system, machinery, tools, and other equipment from the nail-making workshop.

The Ancienne ferme-clouterie, including the farm’s oil-pressing equipment, the preserved water wheel, its millrace, and the shaft of the second water wheel, has been listed as a Monument historique since 24 September 1992.

At the Fontaine de la Cure stands a bust of Pastor Durot, created by Henri-Frédéric Iselin. The bronze bust was melted down during the occupation and recast in 1989.

Nature

The Ruisseau des Battants in Clairegoutte is protected under a prefectural order for biotope protection issued on 13 April 2007.
