La Rosière: Holiday Apartments and Houses

Nature

Étang Bachetey is an oligotrophic pond with acidic, nutrient-poor water. Its notable floating aquatic plant communities include narrow-leaved bur-reed and dwarf water lily; both plants are protected in Franche-Comté.

The characteristic flora of the Tourbière en Ronde Fin and Étang Bachetey includes four nationally protected plants: “laîche des bourbiers”, “scheuchzérie des marais”, “rossolis à feuilles rondes” and “rossolis à feuilles intermédiaires”. Cascade du Tampa is a rocky waterfall on private property at the edge of the D 237 between the villages of Corravillers and La Rosière.

Trails and winter

The Le Roséria hiking trail begins at the fountain in the courtyard of La Rosière town hall and runs near Fort de Rupt, a Séré de Rivières defensive system from the early 19th century. The Le Roséria circular trail invites visitors to discover crosses, calvaries, fountains, remote hamlets and former farmsteads in the southern Vosges.

Cross-country ski trails and snowshoe routes begin at Fort de Rupt. The Domaine nordique des 1000 Étangs is located in the uplands of the municipalities of La Montagne and La Rosière. Cross-country skiing, skating and snowshoeing are available there.

Culture

The fountain in the courtyard of La Rosière town hall is located directly beside the tourist stop. It was built around 1880 and renovated in 1999 by Christian Bergeret, an architect from Vesoul.

Notable features of La Rosière include the Table du partage by MORZUCH and CUNY. A blue line is deeply engraved on the Table du partage, representing the watershed.
