Bords de l'Ognon is a 15.3-kilometre circular hike. The route is stated to take one hour; both the ascent and descent involve 199 metres of elevation gain.

The long-distance hiking trail GR® de Pays des 7 Rivières passes through Mondon and is designated as a four-day, 82.2-kilometre hiking route. It leads through varied landscapes with forests and fields, as well as through villages with architectural heritage.

The hiking loop La Croix de Rognon passes through Mondon.

On this hike, the ascent or descent to Mondon leads through the forest via the “sentier du pendu” trail.

After passing through Mondon, La Croix de Rognon heads at the war memorial towards “Belvédère” and then follows a small road through the forest to the D486; caution is advised here.
