Nature

The Sentier du Bois de la Fougère begins in the village of Mamirolle and leads through the Bois de la Fougère. The easy route is 7.9 kilometres long and is listed as taking two hours. It offers insights into typical agricultural landscapes of the first Jura plateaus.

Culture

The Church of Saint Peter and Saint Paul in Mamirolle was built on remains dating from the 12th century. It has a flat ceiling and no galleries. These features are described as rare in the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region.

The Via Francigena is a medieval pilgrimage route and was recognised as a Cultural Route of the Council of Europe in 2004. The section of the GR® 145 Via Francigena from Saône to Foucherans passes through Mamirolle.

At the entrance to Mamirolle, the statue Vierge des Ermites is venerated in a small oratory. It was brought from Mamirolle in 1779 by the pilgrim Jean-Baptiste Isabey.

Local attractions

On the ENILEA grounds in Mamirolle, a vending machine for products is located in the car park next to the shop. The Brindezingue brewery in Mamirolle offers tours, on-site sales and collections by appointment.

Encounters

Lama Loisir Mamirolle offers visitors special encounters with llamas, goats, sheep, ponies, rabbits and poultry-farm animals. Feeding the animals is part of the visit.
