Paths and Landscape
The Sentier de Béthanie-la-Marne begins and ends at the former football stadium in Grandfontaine. The 8.4-kilometre walking trail is of moderate difficulty and takes around 2 hours and 30 minutes. Suitable for families, the trail passes through rural areas, woodland and open landscapes.
Wide, well-cleared, unmarked footpaths lead through the Bois du Crot and provide a connection to Velesmes-Essarts. The GR® de Pays Ceinture de Besançon also runs through Grandfontaine.

Culture and History
Near the spring stands the small Oratoire de la Vierge, built in 1861. The present Église Notre-Dame-du-Mont was built between 1778 and 1782 according to plans by the Besançon-born architect François Lazare Renaud.
The Église Notre-Dame-du-Mont is a hall church in the Louis XVI style. Its tower portal is crowned by a traditional imperial roof. An older church already stood on this site in the 14th century.
Several historic sites can be found in the area around Grandfontaine: Swamp Bastion, Chamars Bastion, Mill Bastion and City Bastion.
Wider Surroundings
The Mont Poupet mountain is located in the wider region around Grandfontaine. The Mont des Buis hill is also located nearby. The Mont Begon mountain is likewise situated in the wider surrounding region.
