Mazzola: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Culture

The Chapelle Saint-Michel has a profiled façade with four pilasters and a quatrefoil window. It is also called capella San Michele (Castelluccio) and has a single-nave interior with a barrel vault and lunettes. Its main altar dates from the 18th or 19th century.

Mazzola's sights include the parish church of St Cyprien. A bell tower adjoins it, but its construction was never completed. Next to the Chapelle St Pancrace is a monastery or convent building that housed monks who welcomed pilgrims. A building located near the Chapelle St Pancrace contains a monumental fireplace described as being the height of a man.

In Mazzola, visitors can see a golden ciborium that Emperor Napoleon III gave to the municipality. Outside the village, two “arcas” stand next to each other: one is reserved for men, the other for women and children. Mazzola also has a permanent studio-gallery exhibition by Jean-Charles Fabiani.

U Castellucciu can be explored on foot through its lanes. The Via Romana includes a hiking section between Mazzola and Bustanicu.
