The original village centre of Castellare-di-Casinca consists of a belt of fortified houses dominated by a seigneurial tower, probably built in the 13th century.

Landscape
Castellare-di-Casinca stretches from the sandy coastal strip to the schist-bearing foothills of the middle mountains of Castagniccia. The municipal beach of L'Anghjone lies seven kilometres below the municipality.
Culture
At the highest point of the hill stands a 15th-century seigneurial residential tower. In the old village, numerous fountains and other water points are situated among the maze of lanes.
The village centre has narrow lanes paved with local stone, as well as irregularly built stone houses with roofs made of lauze limestone slabs.
The Church of Saint Pancrace in Castellare-di-Casinca is protected as a historic monument. The first section of the church is a Romanesque structure, probably begun in the 11th century and gradually completed in the 12th century. The round-arched arcade bay is supported by two pentagonal pillars.
Trails and Art
A cultural hiking trail connects the village of Penta-di-Casinca with the Church of Saint Pancrace in Castellare-di-Casinca. The trail also reaches the ruins of the Church of Sant'Andrea, which extend across Penta-di-Casinca and Castellare-di-Casinca.
The Copolane Trail leads to San Tomè, a former agricultural plateau that separates the municipalities of Penta and Castellare. The Ferrara Art Gallery serves as a venue for artistic encounters in the fields of painting and sculpture.
Tradition
The Fiera di San Branca is a very old traditional Corsican fair held in Casinca in May. The Fiera di San Branca features demonstrations of shearing, animal care and animal handling, as well as competitions involving Corsican rams and horse-riding skills. The fair also includes a market for agricultural produce.
