The Castellu archaeological site above Balogna dates from the Iron Age to the Middle Ages and provides evidence of trade relations with the Mediterranean dating back to the 4th century BC.

San Tomè overlooks a significant ancient archaeological site in the vicinity of the Caldaniccia baths. San Martinu was located near a settlement in the Cristimòduli valley.

Saliseu, also known as Sant’Eliseu, marked the mountain boundary with the territory of Rennu. Balogna’s church stands on the site of a medieval building that was rebuilt several times.

There is a prehistoric site at Tragunatu. Santu Quilicus (Saint Cyr) is celebrated with a procession on 15 July.
