Pisseloup: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Culture

The Calvaire de Pisseloup is a large, artistically carved stone cross. It has a hexagonal base, a hexagonal shaft, a capital decorated with plant motifs and a crucified Christ.

The Château de Pisseloup appears to date from the 17th century. It is a private property that cannot be visited and can only be viewed from the outside. The Église Saint-Ferréol-Saint-Ferjeux de Pisseloup consists of a Neo-Gothic portal tower, a nave with two bays, a choir with one bay and a sacristy. Its polygonal spire is covered with slate.

The statue of the Vierge de Chaumondel was erected at the site of the former church of Chaumondel.

Nature

Pisseloup is one of the municipalities included in the Natura 2000 site Ruisseaux de Vaux-la-Douce et des Bruyères. The area is characterised by rivers flowing over limestone rock from the Middle Triassic. It comprises 25 % inland waters and 75 % deciduous forests.
