The “Autour de Cusey” route is a 22.5-kilometre circular route. It is rated as easy for cycle touring and takes cyclists to the Canal entre Champagne et Bourgogne.
Nature
The “Pelouses du sud-est haut-marnais” Natura 2000 site comprises two grassland sectors located south of the municipality of Cusey.
The Pont-canal du Badin dates from 1905. It carries the Canal de la Marne à la Saône over the Badin River.
Culture and History
The Church of Saint-Julien in Cusey was built in the first half of the 19th century. Its tower porch was added in 1844.
The Chapelle Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes de Cusey was built on the site of an older building that had been constructed in 1731 and destroyed in 1820. The terrace above the chapel can be reached via one of two stairways that begin at the rear.
The Château XVe siècle de Cusey stands on the left bank of the Vingeanne. It consists of eight towers connected by defensive walls. The château is private property with no visitor access and can only be viewed from the outside.
In nearby Dardenay, the Musée de l'école d'autrefois conveys the atmosphere of a 20th-century rural school. Its exhibits and presentation include school desks, notebooks, books, inkwells and activities.
