Culture
The municipality's cultural commission created the Parcours Nogentais, which presents the history of Nogent-sur-Vernisson. It conveys this history through information panels installed at various locations along the streets. There is no designated, signposted direction for visiting it.
The Pont du Vernisson on Rue Aristide-Briand is part of the local history trail and improved traffic from around 1580 onwards.
The Médiathèque of Nogent-sur-Vernisson has an exhibition area for temporary exhibitions on changing themes and works by local artists. It also displays some remains of the Roman ruins discovered over the years.
History
The washhouses and the market occupy an important place in the history of Nogent-sur-Vernisson. Pope Pius VII celebrated Mass in 1804 in the parish church of Nogent-sur-Vernisson.
The present château building was constructed in 1894 by the architect Alex Fournier. It was preceded by a medieval château called Château de Chaufour and a château called Praslins, built under the Empire.
