La Châtre-Langlin combines cultural history with paths and landscape features. Both can be found in named locations, routes, and natural areas.

Culture and history

The Dolmen de Passe-Bonneau dates from the Neolithic period, has been classified as a Monument historique since 1889, and is one of the local attractions of La Châtre-Langlin.

The surrounding historic area is also home to several named sites: the historic site of Abbaye d'Aubignac is located near La Châtre-Langlin. The ruins of Abbaye Notre-Dame de la Colombe are situated in the same area. The historic site of Abbaye d'Aubepierre lies in the wider regional surroundings of La Châtre-Langlin.

Paths and landscape

The Chaussée de l'Etang, also known as the dam, carries Départemental Road No. 1 from Le Blanc via Saint-Benoît-du-Sault to Limoges.

La Châtre-Langlin has the walking trail “Le circuit de l'eau et de la pierre”. It crosses the Anglin four times and leads past exposed sandstone and granite rocks. The municipal pond along the circular route is designed for walks and picnics.

The landscape also includes the Tourbière résiduelle de Passebonneau, a remnant peat bog in the Indre département.
