Culture and history

Nature

The Étangs de Narbonne area covers 30 hectares and consists of two ponds connected by the Piole stream, woodland covering 80 percent of the area, and limestone grassland. The Étangs de Narbonne are open to the public and have walking paths with educational signs and rest areas.

The Bocages de la Gloriette lie on the northern edge of the municipality, are crossed by the Cher and the Petit Cher, and are located along the Loire à Vélo route. Environmental education activities and rides in a Toue Cabanée are offered there.

Paths and activities

The Sentier du Lac et Val de Cher connects the Lac des Bretonnières, with its water-based leisure facilities, and the Parc de la Gloriette, following the banks of the Cher and the Petit Cher. The trail includes a 15 km route with a variant and a 19.7 km route to Gloriette; the stated walking times are 3 hours 45 minutes and 5 hours respectively.

The Parcours du Patrimoine Jocondien invites visitors to discover or rediscover remarkable places in Joué-lès-Tours city centre. The Parc de la Rabière has an orienteering course. The route in the Morier-Rigny-Pont-Cher district highlights 11 remarkable places and can be completed in around two hours; at Pont-Cher, it can be divided into sections.
