The Special Area of Conservation “Vallée de l’Eure de Maintenon à Anet et vallons affluents – FR2400552” crosses Sainte-Gemme-Moronval. Sainte-Gemme-Moronval is also affected by the listed site “La Vallée de L’Eure en aval de Chartres”.

Since 1950, a total of 23 protected species have been recorded in the municipal area at regional, national or European level. Four threatened species are included on the regional and national Red Lists.

Culture and History
