Dangeau: Holiday apartments and holiday homes

Dangeau showcases notable buildings from several centuries. The Église Saint-Georges is an unvaulted Romanesque church with side aisles, a semicircular apse and an ambulatory; three chapels have domical vaults. It also features a wooden, pointed bell tower from the 17th century and a sculpted portal from the 12th century in the third bay of the southern side aisle.

Culture

The Château de Bouthonvilliers also preserves different building phases. Its façades and roofs were listed as a historic monument by a decree dated 11 August 1975. The château, which has been remodelled several times, now consists of a central 18th-century building flanked by two older pavilions. The park was formerly laid out in the French style; in 1850, Maître Joly expanded it and redesigned it in the English style.

Hiking

The La Fontaine hiking trail in Dangeau is 14 kilometres long and takes about 3 hours and 30 minutes. The route crosses the Ozanne via two footbridges.

The Les grands bois hiking trail is 13 kilometres long and passes through plains, forests and a valley. Yellow markings indicate the way.

Countryside and encounters

The Ferme pédagogique AnimO Perch' offers tours of its educational farm. Visitors can get to know the farm animals there.
