Thaumiers: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes
In Thaumiers, historic architectural forms meet agricultural offerings and a seasonal festival.
Culture
The Église Saint-Saturnin in Thaumiers has been protected as a historic monument since 2 June 1911. Its original single-nave layout dates back to the beginning of the 12th century. The southern porch has a triple archivolt, above which is a cornice with carved modillions. The present-day Château de la Forêt in Thaumiers dates from the 15th century; its southern moat has been preserved. The former chapel of the Château de la Forêt has a ribbed vault.
Among the other attractions in Thaumiers is the Ferme pédagogique « Élevage des Galipettes » in Les Chartons. It offered farm visits and pony rides and was open year-round.
