In Léré, a discovery trail leads to several historic sites. The crypt and west portal of the Collegiate Church of Saint Martin were classified as historic monuments on March 2, 1912; the remainder of the church was listed on March 2, 1926. Léré's townscape also includes half-timbered houses, Renaissance mansions, and beautiful houses from the early 1900s.
The route leads to the Lavoir Saint-Germain, a 19th-century washhouse near former 15th-century hospices. It also includes the restored 15th-century Maison Jeanne d'Arc.
The ruins of the Abbaye Notre-Dame des Roches are located in the vicinity of Léré. Also nearby are the Château d'Assay, a castle, and the Château de Courcelles-le-Roy, also a castle. In the wider regional surroundings of Léré lies the Château de Mimérand, a castle.
Cycling
The Sancerre–Beaulieu-sur-Loire stage of La Loire à Vélo includes the section between Léré and Belleville-sur-Loire. It is considered very easy and runs mainly along Greenways.
