Le Noyer: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

The Grande Sauldre flows through Le Noyer. A bocage landscape between forests and valleys defines the area. The tourist offering is centred around the Plan d’eau de La Balance and its facilities. The visitor facilities there are managed jointly by the intermunicipal authority.

Culture and History

The Église Notre-Dame dates from the 15th or 16th century and was built from black stone from Vailly. The choir contains a large window that is a copy of the Annunciation window in the Jacques-Cœur Chapel in Bourges Cathedral.

The Château de Boucard is classified or listed as a historic monument. During guided tours of the château, its history is presented under the direction of the owners. The Manœuvrerie de la Gravière near the Château de Boucard has also been preserved in its entirety; guided tours with commentary are offered there by appointment.

Paths and Local Specialties

Le Noyer has the circular hiking trail “Des fontaines et lavoirs”. Along this trail, visitors can discover local fountains and washhouses.

The Ferme de la Brosse is part of the local landscape and agriculture. It keeps goats and produces Crottin de Chavignol.
