The Porte du Verger and the ramparts of Cuiseaux date back to the 12th century. Parts of the ramparts at the Porte-du-Verger have been protected as historical monuments since June 29, 1927.
The Chapelle Saint-Jacques is said to have been founded in 1406 by Jacquemet Thurtel in the cemetery of the former hospital of Cuiseaux. Its wall paintings were examined in 1990; the building has been protected as a historical monument since 1950. The Church of Saint Thomas of Canterbury contains magnificent choir stalls from the early 16th century, as well as numerous statues from the 15th and 16th centuries protected as historical monuments.
The built heritage also includes the Château des Princes d'Orange with its vaulted cellars. Cuiseaux's architectural fabric spans the 16th to the 20th century; in November 1984, the town was included in the register of picturesque sites in the Saône-et-Loire department.
The Maison vigneronne is temporarily closed and is accessible in summer exclusively as part of the guided town tours organized by the Office de Tourisme de la Bresse bourguignonne.
