Boyer offers a far-reaching panoramic view from La Garenne: the Saône, the villages of Mancey, Vers, Jugy and Sennecey, as well as Chalon-sur-Saône in the distance, can be seen. Tournus and the Saône lie at your feet; in clear weather, the view extends as far as the Bresse, the Jura and Mont Blanc.

Culture
The present-day Saint-Victor-Saint-Loup Church combines Romanesque and neoclassical architectural elements. It was rebuilt between 1790 and 1792; a bay that formed the choir of the Romanesque predecessor building was incorporated into the entrance section of the new church.
The washhouse known as “lavoir dit de la fontaine Saint-Loup”, located in Boyer at the Saint-Loup spring, has a rectangular basin made of dressed stone blocks. The Pymont washhouse was built in the mid-19th century. Sculptures of washerwomen’s beaters are located on both gable fields and are considered an original and unique work. Four spring-fed washhouses are currently preserved in Boyer.
History
Boyer has at least eight castles and manor houses that were built in the village from the 15th century onwards. These buildings are privately owned and not open to the public.
The historic mills along the Natouze processed grain and pressed walnut oil. The Natouze once powered around ten mills in Boyer.
Nature
The banks of the Saône in Boyer are protected by the Natura 2000 Charter. On the heights of Boyer, there are stony limestone grasslands with vegetation typical of Burgundy.
