Vaux-En-Pré: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes
Culture
The Church of Notre-Dame and Saint-Roch is entirely Romanesque and features a tall bell tower and a façade with Lombard bands. It is open year-round and freely accessible. Inside, there is a timber-framed nave and frescoes dating from the 13th to the 16th century. The oldest part of the church is its small nave, dating from the mid-11th century.
The itinerary may include Vaux-en-Pré, Notre-Dame and Saint-Roch, and La Plâtrière alongside the wish to rent a holiday apartment.
Traditional crafts are also among the local offerings. Sous les Ors is a boutique in Vaux-en-Pré that sells antique and contemporary gilded wood, as well as frames, mirrors, sculptures, paintings, lights, furniture and other items. Bertrand Lotteau's workshop in Vaux-en-Pré specialises in traditional wood gilding and in the restoration and conservation of gilded wooden objects.
