Riantec: Holiday apartments and holiday homes

Riantec has 9 km of coastline along the Petite Mer de Gâvres. At low tide, it offers opportunities to collect cockles, clams and other shellfish. At high tide, it is associated with swimming, kayaking, windsurfing and kitesurfing.

Nature

The Maison de l’île Kerner features a permanent exhibition, nature walks and workshops on local flora and fauna. The maritime Fontaine de la Trinité is visible at low tide between Kerner Island and Île aux Pins.

Culture and history

The Sainte-Radegonde Church in Riantec was completely restored in 2007. It is inspired by Gothic architecture and features mosaic decorations on the pillars, a fresco, small altars and stained-glass windows.

The present-day Chapelle de la Vraie Croix dates from the 17th century and has granite-clad architecture. The Chapelle de la Trinité in Kerner preserves architectural features from the 15th century, including its roof structure, historic beams, a stained-glass panel and ermine coats of arms of the Dukes of Brittany. The furnishings are complemented by polychrome wooden statues from the 19th century.

The Chapelle Saint-Jean was rebuilt in 1884 and was affiliated with a Templar commandery. The Château de Kerdurand is a 17th-century building set in a park of several hectares and was once the residence of dignitaries of the Compagnie des Indes. Today, the Château de Kerdurand is used for cultural activities and leisure pursuits; it has an exhibition room and a conference room.
