Noyal-Muzillac: Holiday apartments and houses

Noyal-Muzillac bears the “Commune du Patrimoine Rural de Bretagne” label. The town’s cultural heritage includes several religious buildings and historic structures that reveal different periods.

Culture and history

The Church of Saint Martin in Noyal-Muzillac is dedicated to Saint Martin of Tours. It was modified in the 11th, 12th, 17th and 20th centuries. The Chapelle de Brangolo dates from the late 16th or early 17th century; its interior features wall frescoes, polychrome statues and Maltese crosses painted on the altar fronts.

Le Vieux Couvent consists of two 17th-century buildings. The Chapelle de Kerio was built by the villagers in 1882 and became a pilgrimage site.

Nature and trails

The countryside around Noyal-Muzillac includes valleys with fish-rich streams, heathland, wooded hills and pastureland. The “Sentier botanique de la Michochêne” botanical trail is 2.5 km long and takes about 40 minutes.

The long-distance GR 349 trail also passes through Noyal-Muzillac. Its “Muzillac/Noyal-Muzillac/Le Guerno” stage crosses the three municipalities of Muzillac, Noyal-Muzillac and Le Guerno. The “Circuit des 3 rivières” is a 16 km hike lasting 4 hours.

Agriculture and local produce

At the Ferme de Kerbizien, farm tours and the shop are open on Fridays from 4:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. The organic farm, with 80 dairy cows, processes its milk into cheese, including Camemberts, Tommes, Petits Ronds and fromage blanc.
