Languidic combines historic monuments with trails, chapels, rows of menhirs, forests, wetlands and the Blavet Valley.
Culture and history
Historic buildings include the Notre-Dame-des-Fleurs Chapel. By decree of 29 August 1922, it was listed as a historic monument; it is a 15th-century chapel with a cruciform floor plan, nave, transept and square-ended chancel. The Alignements du Grand Resto et de Kersolan were listed as historic monuments by decree of 29 September 1967. The Alignements de Kersolan consist of three rows of menhirs extending over 600 to 700 metres.
In the Saint-Urlo Chapel, the statue of Saint Urlo depicts him as an abbot wearing a habit and holding a crozier.
Nature and landscape
The Circuit de Lann Veur passes through orchards, heathland, forests, settlements and villages, conveying the history of this natural environment shaped by people. In the Blavet Valley near Languidic, there are fish-rich waters suitable for fishing and birdwatching.
The walk to the washhouses of Pont-Bellec crosses a wetland where visitors can discover the local flora and fauna. The Les lavoirs à Pont-Bellec walk follows a wooden footbridge through the area of the former washhouses at Pont Bellec.
Getting around
Near Languidic, the Blavet can be explored on foot or by bicycle along the riverside towpath. By bicycle, Languidic can be reached via the greenway along the Blavet towpath from Hennebont or Pontivy. Languidic can also be reached via the four-lane RN 165, with an exit for Languidic.
The Circuit de Pont Kerran runs through a green setting along the Pont du Roc’h river and leads visitors to discover the local heritage of the municipality, including fountains, bridges, mills and washhouses. The Circuit de Dézinio follows roads and paths and showcases the diversity of the arboretum.
The Circuit vélo de Languidic follows minor roads through landscapes of protected habitats. The Saint-Etienne Chapel is a point of interest on the Circuit vélo de Languidic.
