Hennebont’s history is particularly evident at the Ville-Close: the fortified complex, built at the end of the 13th century, has a circumference of around one kilometre. Along its walls, gardens have replaced the former moat.
Culture and History
Inside the towers of the Porte Broërec is the Musée des tours Broërec, a museum dedicated to local history and traditions. Guided tours are available there on request at 3 p.m., as well as an escape game.
The Notre-Dame-de-Paradis Chapel was consecrated in 1524 and was nearly completed by around 1554. Its stained-glass windows were replaced between 1951 and 1965 by master glass artist Max Ingrand. The bell tower is nearly 65 metres high.

The Haras National d'Hennebont offers a tour route and freely accessible areas. The Circuit du Talhouët trail leads through medieval lanes, along the Blavet, through forests and the Parc de Kerbihan, as well as through the town of Hennebont, which was rebuilt after the war.
The Chapelle Saint-Antoine is part of the guided heritage walk “Au fil du sacré: la chapelle Saint-Antoine”.
