Saint-Avé: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Saint-Avé is home to two chapels with a clearly documented construction history: the Chapelle Notre-Dame du Loc was built between 1475 and 1494 and has been classified as a historic monument since 1922. The Chapelle Saint-Michel was built at the beginning of the 16th century; its roof structure is dated May 1524.

Culture

The Le Dôme cultural centre in Saint-Avé offers a varied cultural programme for the general public. In July and August, the Chapelle Notre-Dame du Loc is open to the public at certain times as part of the Jeudis de l’été. The Chapelle Saint-Michel is open to the public on Saturdays and Sundays from 3 to 6 p.m. in July and August.

Nature

The Camp de César area has been designated an « Espace Naturel Sensible » by the Morbihan département and has a specific management plan for restoring this natural area. The Bois de Kerozer is a 24-hectare area suitable for family walks and sports training.

Walking and Exercise

The Rando du Camp de César is a 9.2-kilometre route of moderate difficulty starting at 25 rue de Saint Michel in Saint-Avé. It runs along the edges of woodland and crosses heathland. The stated durations for the route are 2 hours 15 minutes on foot, 1 hour by mountain bike and 1 hour 10 minutes on horseback.

The Parc d’Altenwalde has numerous facilities for outdoor sports and can be accessed via rue du Lavoir.
