Camors: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

The Forêt de Camors covers 648 hectares of deciduous and coniferous forest. The forest is suitable for hiking as well as cycling and horseback riding.

Nature and Trails

The Circuit de l'eau starts at the Petit Bois leisure, recreation and sports area. It features a pond for fishing, picnic areas, a fitness trail and a climbing park. The Circuit de l'eau is a moderately difficult, yellow-marked trail that is accessible year-round; mountain biking is possible on it. The Fontaine des sabotiers is one of the destinations along the Circuit de l'eau.

Culture and History

The two surviving fortifications of the Château de Comorre are in an exceptionally good state of preservation for the region. The remains of several buildings from this medieval complex can also be found near the Étang du moulin de la Motte.

The Chapelle Saint-Gobrien dates from the late 14th century, was remodeled in the 16th century, and is located north of Camors town center near the road to Baud. The parish community of Camors honors Saint Gobrien every year on the first Sunday in September.

The Menhir Bras, also known as the Menhir de l'étoile, is 3.40 meters high. The Dolmen du Roh-Du in the Floranges forest dates from the 4th millennium BC and is classified as a historic monument.

Au Sabot Camorien makes wooden clogs and made-to-measure shoes in France. A visit to Au Sabot Camorien conveys the history of the wooden clog, showcases historic tools and the individual manufacturing steps, and allows visitors to try on a wooden clog fitted to their feet.

The Napoléon Express tourist train operates on Wednesdays and Sundays in summer and serves Lambel-Camors.
