Culture

The Church of Saint-Agapit was built in the first half of the 16th century. Important construction phases include the construction of the bell wall by François Beaumanoir in 1524, the sculpted and painted south door in 1536, and the completion of the nave in 1552. The church was designed in the Flamboyant style, which is associated with the Beaumanoir workshop. The Church of Saint-Agapit and its churchyard with two calvaries, the enclosing walls with five passages, and the associated land were classified as a Monument historique by decree of 14 December 2010. The church was completely restored from 2016 to 2021.

Nature and activities

The small circular trail in Plouégat-Guérand is an easy 5.30 km hike with an average duration of 1 hour 45 minutes. Located near the Douron, the trail starts at the information sign in the cemetery car park, is marked with green triangles, passes close to the Douron and then returns to the town centre.

The Circuit de Pont Menou circular trail starts at the car park of the Base du Douron in Pont Menou, at the information sign.

Regional produce

The Cidrerie de Cozmézou in Plouégat-Guérand offers tours in summer by reservation. The Cidrerie de Cozmezou's products include Breton cider with IGP, Pommeau de Bretagne with AOC, cider eau-de-vie with AOC, as well as other ciders.

Events
