Scaër makes a distinctive cultural contribution with the Carnaval à l’Ouest, held every two years over the Whitsun weekend. Scaër is also characterised by nature trails, a river landscape and cultural venues.

The Chapelle Saint-Sauveur de Coatdry is listed as a historic monument.
