Saint-Michel-En-Grève: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Saint-Michel-en-Grève is a seaside resort at the end of the Bay of Lannion. The village overlooks the sea and a fine sandy beach to the west. The Lieue de Grève is a four-kilometre-long fine sandy beach.

Coast and Bay

The Lieue de Grève is particularly exposed to westerly winds and is especially suitable for wind-dependent water sports. There are car parks with access to the GR 34 along the Bay of the Lieue de Grève. The Vélomaritime also runs along the Bay of Saint-Michel-en-Grève and then continues to Lannion.

Paths in the Kerdu Valley

The path through the Kerdu Valley is reserved for pedestrians, cyclists and horse riders and follows the small River Kerdu as far as Ploumilliau. The Route des Moulins in the Kerdu Valley also runs along the River Kerdu, following a former railway line.

Culture and History

The Church of Saint-Michel and its churchyard are protected as historic monuments. In the old quarter at Le Martray stands the Manoir de Tourribel manor house, dating from 1620; the former courthouse from the 16th century is also located there.

The Sainte-Geneviève Chapel was rebuilt in 1767 on the site of an earlier chapel. It preserves an architectural element from the 15th century: the tracery of the eastern window. An annual pardon in honour of Saint Geneviève takes place at the chapel.

An event from more recent history is also associated with the beach: on 11 August 1944, three Allied LSTs (Landing Ship Tanks) came ashore on the beach at Saint-Michel-en-Grève.
