The Lac et châteaux circular trail starts in the centre of Plorec-sur-Arguenon and follows the banks of the Arguenon for part of its route. The 13 km hike is of moderate difficulty and has a stated duration of three hours.

The La Hêche site is located on the right bank of the Lac de l’Arguenon and is suitable for relaxing. It provides access to the water, is known for its fish population and has been classified as a “parcours passion” for freshwater fishing. During a hike, there is a picnic spot by the water.

In the wider regional surroundings of Plorec-sur-Arguenon are the Île des Ehbiens and Île Agot islands, as well as Plage du Mole and Plage de l'Éventail beaches.

History

At Guénault in Plorec-sur-Arguenon, the Tumulus dit La Tour Basse was classified as a protected monument by decree of 28 August 1934. The Guénault tumulus is a medieval defensive earthwork and an old medieval motte above the Arguenon.

The beautiful granite church of Saint-Pierre serves as a landmark on the way to the centre of Plorec-sur-Arguenon. Hunaudaye Castle is a historic site in the immediate vicinity of Plorec-sur-Arguenon. The Abbaye de Saint-Aubin-des-Bois, Le temple de Mars and Prieuré de Saint-Gallery are historic sites in the surroundings of Plorec-sur-Arguenon.
