Plessala: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Plessala lies on the edge of the Forêt de Loudéac. La Roche au Cerf lies at the edge of the three municipalities of La Motte, Plessala and Langast and can be explored on foot.

Culture and History

On 12 November 1972, Glenmor, Xavier Grall, Gilles Servat, Tri Yann and other singers and poets of the Breton cultural revival signed the “Manifeste des Chanteurs bretons” in Plessala. Older traces can also be found in the surrounding area: the Fontaine Sainte-Élisabeth was built in the 13th century, and its water was believed to have healing powers against the plague. The Croix des Longueraies dates from the 12th or 13th century. A stair tower has been preserved at the Manoir de Livoyer.

Water and Trails

The Étang de La Chesnaie is the starting point for the 5 km Plessala-Livoyer hiking trail. The pond has play equipment for children as well as a boules court. Another trail leads into the history of the mills: the Circuit de Livoyer takes hikers to the Bief et Ruine du Moulin Neuf, the remains of an old mill.
