Around Plédran runs La coulée verte, a fully signposted hiking trail around 5 km long.

Nature

The Bois de Plédran covers an area of 132 ha. A 2 km circular trail with play facilities for families runs through this area.

Culture and history

The Chapelle de Créhac was formerly a commandery of the Knights Templar and later of the Order of the Hospital of Saint John of Jerusalem, also known as the Order of Malta. It has a floor made entirely of old gravestones featuring crosses carved in granite relief. By decree of 17 December 1926, this gravestone flooring was partially protected as a historic monument.

The Château de Craffault comprises a main building with a right-hand section of the façade built in the 16th century and a left-hand section dating from the 17th century, as well as a pavilion probably dating from the 15th century that contains the main staircase. The residential building, the moats and the foundations of the gatehouse were protected as historic monuments by decree of 9 May 1990.

The covered gallery La Roche Cadio in Plédran was classified as a historic monument by decree of 22 July 1964. The Menhir de la Touche-Bude in Plédran was classified as a historic monument by decree of 29 June 1965.

The Pont Chéra carried the former road linking Aleth (“Saint-Malo”) and Vorgium (“Carhaix”) across the Urne. It consists of two masonry arches resting on a stone pier and is characteristic of the Gallo-Roman period.

In the vicinity of Plédran lies the Artothèque de Saint-Brieuc, a closed museum. The Chapelle Saint-Gilles is a ruin in the vicinity of Plédran, while the Hôtel de Rohan is a historic site. Also in the vicinity are the Plage des Rosaires, a beach, and the Cathédrale Saint-Étienne, a church.
