Culture and history

In Plédéliac, the Château de la Hunaudaye was built around 1220 by Olivier Tournemine. Today, it offers a self-guided tour all year round; a free guidebook is available with the admission ticket in six languages.

The parish church of Saint-Malo features architectural elements from the 16th century. Based on plans by the architect E. Faure, it was rebuilt between 1928 and 1930 and completed between 1933 and 1934. Its façade and nave are listed as historic monuments.

The Allée couverte et alignement de menhirs indicateurs de Saint-André dates from the Neolithic period. It has been classified as a historic monument since 26 August 1970.

The Écomusée de la Ferme d’Antan in Plédéliac reconstructs rural Breton life in the 1920s and includes, among other things, a forge, a cellar, a bread oven, agricultural equipment and a garden.

Landscape and forest

The Forêt domaniale de la Hunaudaye is a forest area of more than 1,040 hectares in Plédéliac.

Hiking and activities

The Balade sur les Rives de l’Arguenon hike leads from Plédéliac’s old villages through patches of woodland and sunken lanes to the banks and viewpoints of the Arguenon.

The Forêt de la Hunaudaye offers opportunities for hiking. Horse riding is listed as an activity in the Forêt de la Hunaudaye.
