Culture and history

The Chapelle Notre-Dame de Liscorno was built in the 13th century by the lords of Coëtmen. It quickly became a popular place of worship where pilgrimages took place and miracles and healings were reported. The Pardon of the Chapelle Notre-Dame de Liscorno takes place on the first Sunday in September.

Today’s Église Saint-Evence is designed in the neo-Romanesque style; its foundation stone was blessed on 10 June 1894. Its nave is illuminated by numerous modern stained-glass windows installed in 1969 by the Klein workshop from Rennes. The church was built on the site of a former chapel dating from 1482 that became a church in 1588.

The Fontaine Saint-Évence in the village centre dates from the 18th century and is crowned by a statue of Saint Évence.
