At the heart of the municipality of Callac lies the Étang de la Verte Vallée, which is easily accessible. Families can fish at the Étang de la Verte Vallée; a botanical educational trail along the pond teaches visitors the names of the plants and flowers.

Culture and History

The rectangular Chapelle Sainte-Barbe is an early 16th-century building in Callac. The Statue de Naous was completed in 1954 by the animal sculptor Georges Lucien Guyot and inaugurated in 1958. It commemorates the stallion Naous, who contributed to the good reputation of the Callac stud farms. The Église Saint-Laurent has at least 40 glazed window openings through which light enters the nave.

The Maison de l'Épagneul Breton includes a section on genetics that explains how selective breeding can create and preserve a breed. It also offers a permanent educational visitor tour. Using objects, drawings, paintings, photographs, videos and an original film, the Maison de l'Épagneul Breton documents the special history of the Epagneul Breton and its place in Argoat as its area of origin.
