Trégastel: holiday apartments and holiday homes

In Trégastel, formations of pink granite are scattered throughout the municipality and are particularly concentrated along the coast. The Presqu’île Renote is a protected natural area with numerous pink granite formations as well as the flora and fauna typical of the coast.

Landscape and coast

Plage du Coz-Pors combines pink granite formations with islets that can be reached at low tide. The Archipelago of the 7 ÃŽles, protected since 1912 and classified as a nature reserve since 1976, is served by boat from Coz-Pors in July and August; when the tide conditions are suitable, it is possible to land on ÃŽle aux Moines.

Nature by the sea

The Aquarium Marin de Trégastel is located in caves made of pink rock, which can be explored through a maze of natural granite blocks. It offers nature excursions all year round and organises beach excursions at low tide, during which marine animals can be discovered and the tides explained. Guided tours are offered in the Vallée des Traouïéro from June to September.

History and architectural heritage

The Chapelle Sainte-Anne-des-Rochers is located in the vicinity of Trégastel. It is a 17th-century chapel that was converted and extended from 1928 to 1933. The Menhir de Trémarche in the Park-ar-Peulven district of Trégastel is a Neolithic menhir and was classified as a historic monument on 11 October 1960.

The Allée couverte de Kerguntuil in Trégastel is a burial site approximately nine metres long, dating from the late Neolithic period; it was excavated and restored in 1939. The Dolmen de Kerguntuil is considered one of the largest dolmens in the Trégor; its capstone is six metres long, 3.25 metres wide and weighs approximately 20 tonnes.

The Chapelle Saint-Golgon in Trégastel was built in the 16th century near a sacred spring and extended at the beginning of the 18th century. The church of Le Bourg in Trégastel dates back to the 12th to 13th centuries; an ossuary was added in the 17th century.

Active on the coast and water

The Tour de la Presqu’île Renote circular route is a 2.1-kilometre coastal trail marked with the GR34, for which approximately 45 minutes should be allowed. The Forum de Trégastel on Coz-Pors beach is a seawater complex with massage jets, a counter-current channel, saunas, hammams, a Jacuzzi, a tepidarium and a cardio fitness area.

The Maison de la mer de Trégastel offers hire and courses in sailing, kayaking and windsurfing for all levels from the age of five at La Grève Blanche beach.

Plage de Trestraou is located in the vicinity of Trégastel. The islands of Île Renot, Île du Bivic and Île Tanguy, as well as the Église Sainte-Anne-et-Saint-Laurent, are also nearby. The castles of Kastell Koad Freg and Kastell Tonkedeg are located in the wider regional area around Trégastel.
