Pers lies on the shore of Lac de Saint-Étienne-Cantalès, a 560-hectare reservoir. When the Saint-Étienne-Cantalès dam was built, the pillars of the Viaduc du Ribeyrès were encased in concrete to prevent them from corroding in the reservoir water.
Nature
The Sentier des Fraulières is a 7 km circular hiking trail that is partly wooded. It begins in front of the former town hall of Pers; at its northern end, it offers a view of the Viaduc du Ribeyrès.
