The Voie de Rochegonde begins at the Place de l'Église in Neuvéglise and follows an ancient Roman road. The 15 km circular hiking trail is classified as difficult; the stated duration is 4 hours and 15 minutes. The route offers views of Rochegonde, the Épie Valley and the Monts du Cantal.

The Grand Tour VTT “Saint-Flour Horizons Volcaniques” is designed as a five-day, or five-stage, route for conventional and electric mountain bikes. The section from Neuvéglise-sur-Truyère to Pierrefort is 21 km long and starts at the church square in Neuvéglise.

The VTT Circuit No. 32 “Vernuéjols” passes through the village of Vernuéjols, where numerous old stone farm buildings of the “Ferme-bloc” type can be seen. The circular route crosses the volcanic plateau of the Planèze and offers views of the Monts du Cantal.

Culture and History

The Château de Rochebrune, a medieval fortress typical of the Cantal, is located within the municipality of Neuvéglise-sur-Truyère. Including its terrace gardens and interior furnishings, it is fully listed in the supplementary inventory of Monuments historiques.

The municipality is also home to the small Église de Fressanges, dedicated to Saint Anne and featuring stained-glass windows by the glass artist Decorchemont.

The Marché de producteurs takes place at Place de l'église, 15260 Neuvéglise-sur-Truyère. The producers' market in Neuvéglise brings together numerous local producers and includes musical performances and folklore.
