Culture
The parish church of Saint-Barthélemy was once a dependency of the Abbey of Saint-Géraud d’Aurillac. It preserves an arcaded bell tower and roofs with a picturesque character. The church contains a stained-glass window depicting the Crucifixion, dating from the 16th century and protected as a historic monument. It also contains the protected statue of Saint John, which dates from the 16th or 17th century.
Nature
The Plan d'eau des Genévrières is bordered by a wooded leisure park. The recreational area includes an analemmatic sundial and the Belvédère de la Méridienne; fishing is also possible there. The Belvédère de la Méridienne verte offers an exceptional viewpoint.
Hiking
The Crandelles-Teissières hiking trail is a 16.1 km marked circular route rated Blue (moderate) and starts in front of the Saint-Barthélemy church in Crandelles. The recreational area at the Plan d'eau des Genévrières is a starting point for this hiking trail. The route passes through a remarkable bocage landscape and by stone buildings with slate roofs. From Labouygues, it offers an optional detour of about 400 metres to the Belvédère de la Méridienne.
Local life
The Marché du Lac brings together local producers and artisans and includes seasonal and cultural events. The market takes place every Sunday morning.
