Culture and History

The Church of Saint-Sylvestre was completed gradually up to the 16th century and is considered a reference of Flamboyant Gothic. It has a massive square bell tower dating from the 12th century and, in its entirety, was classified as a historic monument by decree of 12 July 2001.

The Château de Sainte-Colome comprises the bailey, the remains of the fortifications, and the access path to the château lined with remnants of the walls. These elements were listed as protected cultural heritage by decree of 29 April 1999. The Château de Sainte-Colome was burned down during the Wars of Religion. Its watchtower is approximately 20 metres high and was used to communicate with the surrounding fortresses of Castet and Iseste using highly visible fires.

In the past, Rogation processions and torchlight processions took place at Les Trois Croix.
