The Bostmendieta hiking route begins in Lacarry-Arhan-Charritte-de-Haut. Bostmendiak consists of five small mountains located above the Ibar-eskuin Valley (Alcay/Lacarry). At the foot of the Bostmendiak peaks lies a small, elevated grassy valley.

The ruins of the Aretalepoa house illustrate a remote place where people lived in the past century.
