The Église Saint-Jean-Baptiste was built around the 16th century and has a Roman inscription beneath the high altar. The church also has two levels of carved wooden galleries.
The Chapelle de la Sainte Trinité was blessed in 1687. The altarpiece with which the founder furnished the chapel still adorns its choir today. A literary trace is provided by the Parcours poétique Francis Jammes, which leads to selected texts connected with six famous visitors who knocked on the poet’s door.
The Route Impériale des Cimes served Napoleon I’s troops as a strategic route to reach Saint Jean Pied de Port during the Peninsular War. At the same time, it offers panoramic views of the Pyrenees.
